Saying Goodbye to my Friend, Jamal Temori

Last week (June 21) we got together to say goodbye to our brilliant friend, Jamal_Temori. It was one of the hardest moments in my life. He has been one of my closest and the most trustworthy friends over the past 11 years.

At the same time, Jamal was my classmate at Avicenna University in Kabul, very supportive colleague in three organizations including International Foundations for Electoral Systems (IFES), and active partner in organizing and conducting several theoretical and pragmatic training courses on journalism for our young journalists and media activists in 2013 and 2014 in Kabul.

In fact, our friendship and partnership started in 2007 during a training on #journalism. Jaml left #Kabul on June 22 to continue his study at the University of Queensland in Australia.

I am very proud of having such an extraordinary friend and wish him the best life and bright future.
