Abed Shahin, my youngest child, turned 12 years old. For this reason, today we got together with several friends and relatives and celebrated his birthday in the.

In addition to the fact that – like every last child in family – he has a special place among all members and is loved and cared for by everyone, he also has other characteristics that made him more lovable.

For example, from grades 1 to 3 in Marefat High School in Kabul, he had always the first position. In the last two years in Canada, his scores have always been perfect and he has received a commendation letter from his school three times.

Abed is now in the 6th grade and after 15 months of living in Canada he speaks English fluently, but his Persian/Farsi literacy – both reading and writing – is at the level of a 12th grade student and his understanding, analysis, and presentation are much higher than what is expected in a person in his age and grade.

Moreover, Abed’s most important characteristic is his peace-seeking spirit. He tries to stay away from tension and controversy in his relationships with others, specifically within the family, and plays the role of a mediator when tensions arise between others.

Abed is fond of football, music, and humor. He plays soccer for two to three hours every day. Besides that, these days he has started piano lessons. Also, wherever he is, there is humor, fun, and laughter.

Abed jan, happy birthday and wish you long life.
