The fourth graduation of Afghanistan Think Room students

The fourth graduation ceremony of Afghanistan Think Room students was held in Kabul yesterday (April 19) evening with the participation of a number of political, media and cultural figures.

In this event, more than 60 students received graduation certificates from thw institution in the fields of journalism, public speaking, and story writing.

Since its establishment, Afghanistan Think Room has trained more than 200 students in journalism, story writing, public relations, and public speaking skills.

Also, this institution has held more than 100 scientific, cultural, social and political meetings for the enhancement of the country’s during the last two years.

Murtaza Meraj, head of the Afghanistan Think Room, highlighted in his speech that Afghanistan Think Room has promoted the speaking and writing skills of more than 200 students by holding short-term training programs in the fields of journalism, speech, public relations and story writing since it started operation.

Meanwhile, he criticized the teaching methods of the public education institutions including the schools and universities. He added: “Afghanistan’s educational institutions – even universities – have focused more on the students’ learning and have almost forgotten to teach them some other essential skills such as how to transfer their knowledge and convey their messages properly and clearly through both writing and speaking.”

He further added: “all educational Institutions in the country should provide the student with the necessary latest knowledge and skills of each field of study available to students.”
