Farewell to my beloved cousin, Aref Jahan

My dear cousin, Aref Jahan, left Kabul for Dubai yesterday. This is his first trip outside the country, and it can be said that it will remain as one of the most enduring experiences and the beginning of a new chapter in his life. His purpose for this journey is to explore the outside world, learn management and business skills, and build his professional character.

Until yesterday, he was busy studying engineering and teaching English. Although he was very successful in both fields, he preferred to enter the world of management and learn the secrets of profit, capital, and business.

Aref is uncommon in intelligence and talent. He was born in 1998 and began reading and writing at the age of four. In 2002, when I returned from a two-year trip, I saw him reading the first-grade book fluently and with a captivating voice to his father. At the age of five, he started school.

In 2004, when we moved to Kabul, Aref, after two years in public school, entered the entrance exam for the gifted students’ school, Maktab-e Thizhooshan, and took advantage of all the privileges of the school for free. At the end of high school, he passed the entrance exam for the technical high school and entered the field of civil engineering.

Alongside all his successes in the education field, he is fond of reading and planning. For the past two years, entering business ventures and going on such a trip has been his top priority. I wish this chapter of his life brings him happiness and prosperity. I wish him more successes and greater achievements.
